The Custom Ability System

The true power of Bliss lies in its revolutionary Custom Ability System. This isn't just a feature—it's a complete toolkit that empowers you to design your own unique Gem abilities entirely within YAML files, no coding required.

• Simple Triggers, Powerful Effects: Create abilities that activate on RIGHT_CLICK, SNEAK_RIGHT_CLICK, or run constantly with PASSIVE_TICK.
• Chainable Effects:Each trigger can unleash a sequence of actions:
  • POTION: Apply any potion effect to players or mobs.
  • DAMAGE: Deal a specific amount of damage.
  • VELOCITY: Push, pull, or launch entities with configurable force.
  • SOUND & PARTICLE: Add immersive audio-visual feedback to your abilities.
  • CONSOLE_COMMAND: Integrate with other plugins or run any server command.
• Advanced Targeting: Apply effects to SELF, the TARGET entity, or an entire AREA. For area-of-effect abilities, you can further filter by ALLIES, ENEMIES, or ALL.
• Built-in Tutorial: The new Flux Gem is a living example of this system, combining hardcoded core mechanics with configurable passive effects. Its flux_gem.yml file is heavily commented, serving as the perfect guide for creating your own legendary items.

Fully Configurable Crafting System

Empower your players to earn their abilities through gameplay, not just commands. Bliss now includes a robust crafting system controlled by a simple and intuitive recipes.yml file.

• Craft Everything: Define unique 3x3 recipes not only for every Gem but also for the special items: Gem Upgraders, Gem Repairers, and Trader Tokens.
• Total Control: Enable or disable any recipe you wish to perfectly balance your server's economy and progression.
• Instant Replacement: When a player crafts a new Gem, it instantly and safely replaces their currently active one, providing a seamless and intuitive way for players to switch their playstyle.

Dynamic Gem System & Rewarding Progression

The heart of Bliss is its system of pre-configured Gems, each with a distinct identity and upgrade path.

• Multiple Playstyles: Seven unique Gems come standard (Fire, Earth, Void, Astra, Stellar, Flux and Puff), each with four unique abilities—two for Level 1 and two more powerful, evolved versions for Level 2.
• Evolve & Conquer: Players can find or craft a Gem Upgrader to evolve their Gem to Level 2. This transforms the item's name, material, and unlocks its ultimate abilities, creating a clear and rewarding progression path.
• High-Stakes Gameplay: Activate the "Break-on-Death" mechanic to add a layer of risk. When a player dies, their Gem can shatter, rendering it powerless. Players must then find or craft a Gem Repairer to restore its abilities, making each life feel valuable.

Bliss is designed to be powerful for players and effortless for administrators.

• Robust & Reliable Performance: Built with an asynchronous database backend supporting both flat-file SQLite for easy setup and powerful MySQL for larger networks. This ensures that even the most visually intense abilities will not cause lag.
• Seamless Administration: Manage your server with simple, permission-gated commands. Give players specific Gems, spawn special items, or /bliss reload the entire plugin configuration without a server restart.
• Complete World Control: Easily disable all Gem abilities in specific worlds (e.g., spawn, hubs, minigame arenas) to maintain balance where needed.
• Full Off-Hand Support: Abilities can be used seamlessly whether a player holds their Gem in
• their main hand or off-hand, allowing for fluid combat and compatibility with other plugins.
